Students must apply to and become accepted to a home PhD program to fulfill the QBio PhD minor. Students can apply to one or more PhD program through the single UW-Madison Graduate School Electronic Application page. Students can apply to up to three PhD programs with one application fee. It is important to note that some PhD programs have additional requirements outlined on their web pages – students should check the details outlined for specific programs they are interested in applying to.
Most applications are due in the late fall of the year preceding study. Different programs have different processes for admittance – many programs will invite students for an interview in the early spring, while others will do a direct admittance. Check the pages of the specific PhD programs for details.
