The Denu lab investigates the mechanisms and biological function of reversible protein modifications involved in modulating signal transduction, chromatin dynamics and metabolism. We are addressing three major areas: 1.) Writing, reading and editing a molecular language/code 2.) Linking metabolism with the epigenome, and 3.) Sirtuins and reversible protein acetylation.
