Natalia de Leon
Associate Professor
459 Moore Hall - 1575 Linden Dr, Madison, WI 53706
Natalia de Leon's research program utilizes statistical and quantitative genetic analysis to characterize genetic and phenotypic variation in grasses, especially maize. Using different sources of genetic information such as phenotypic, genotypic and transcriptional data, her program lays on the interface of plant breeding and quantitative and molecular genetics and uses these different sources of data to genetically dissect economically important complex traits and to improve and accelerate the process of plant breeding.
